About the Program
Voices of the Future is a dynamic, youth-led storytelling initiative where students take the lead in exploring real-world career journeys. Through in-depth interviews and written profiles, our student Career Explorers uncover the decisions, challenges, and turning points that shape the careers of professionals from all perspectives.
Our mission is to empower young people to ask questions, discover new possibilities, and share inspiring stories that help their peers gain a deeper understanding of the diverse paths to success.
Become a Career Explorers
We are currently recruiting Career Explorers to join our growing team! This is a unique opportunity for middle and high school students to develop journalism skills, grow leadership experience, and make a meaningful impact in their community.
Who Can Apply?
- Students in grades 6–12
- Interested in exploring different career stories
- Committed to writing and sharing at least one career interview every six months
What You’ll Do
- Identify and reach out to professionals you’re interested in interviewing
- Conduct an interview (with guidance and support!)
- Write a report to be published on our website
- Present your story and learn from others through student-led webinars
- Attend a brief monthly check-in meeting (30 minutes)
Leadership Opportunities
Students who submit two or more reports in the first 6 months will be invited to join our Youth Leadership Team.
Leadership team members:
- Help manage the Career Explorer team
- Review and edit submitted reports
- Support in coordinating meetings and events
- Participate in website management and outreach
To stay in a leadership role, members must maintain their contribution of at least two reports every 6 months.

- We will contact you to schedule a brief interview
- Once accepted, you’ll officially join the team and start participating in monthly meetings
